The 2015 China International Trenchless Technology Conference & Exhibition was held from April 10th to 12st 2015 at Qingdao International Convention Center. There were 1284 guests from 27 provinces and autonomous region in China and other 14 countries and regions registered for this conference, 3566 people came to the exhibition during these three days. Honored guests such as professor Yan Chunwen, Vice chairman of China Society of Trenchless Technology, Mr. Samuel Ariaratnam, past chairman of International Society of Trenchless Technology, Mr. Enrico Boi, vice chairman of International Society of Trenchless Technology, Professor Kusuta Tetsuya, vice chairman of Japan Society of Trenchless Technology, Mr. Wang Chunsheng, director of Qingdao Municipal Utility Supervision Station, Ms. Rong Shuling, director of Qingdao International Convention Center and Mr. Wang Xiangrong, general manager of DW/TXS Construction Equipment (Beijing) Co., Ltd. presented at the opening ceremony and did the ribbon cutting.
During this conference, Mr. Yan Chunwen, Vice chairman of China Society of Trenchless Technology did a report named "The Report of Chinese Trenchless Industry in 2014", Mr. Samuel Ariaratnam, past chairman of International Society of Trenchless Technology gave a report called "The summary of global trenchless market in 2014", Professor Kusuta Tetsuya, vice chairman of Japan Society of Trenchless Technology gave a report named "Latest trenchless technologies in Japan, Mr. Enrico Boi, vice chairman of International Society of Trenchless Technology gave a report called "Global municipal mapping standard", and Mr. Samuel Ariaratnam, past chairman of International Society of Trenchless Technology also gave a report named "The installation of a 3.3 kilometer parallel pipeline across the Yangtze River". All these key note speeches presented by such distinguished guests drew great attention from all representatives and led to heated discussions.
There were three seminars about "horizontal directional drilling", "pipe-jacking/micro tunneling" and "Pipeline rehabilitation" respectively this year. The theme of this year's seminars was the introduction of construction cases, during which the application of trenchless technologies in special conditions, extreme conditions and new products were introduced and discussed. Secretary-generals from the Societies in Beijing, Shanghai, Fujian and Guangdong had a private communication after the session.
During the conference, DW/TXS Construction Equipment (Beijing) Co., Ltd. launched a new product which was named CSTT 2014 product of the year. There were also various themed technical workshops in which famous enterprises like China Petoleum Pipeline Bureau, Corssing Company, Wuhan Tuozhan Underground Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd., Henan North China Foundation Engineering Co.,Ltd., Vermeer (Tianjin), Henan ZhongTuo Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing Lokng Ke Xing Trenchless Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing Tianhuan Trenchless Engineering Co., Ltd., Huangshi Jingwu Ceiling Coil Project Co., Ltd., Fujian Dongchen Infrastructure Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. - Xiamen Pipe-Jacking Sub-company , Beijing No.2 Municipal Construction Engineering Ltd. made cases analysis and introduction about their technical advantages, products and construction experiences, covering aspects such as pipeline rehabilitation, pipe-jacking/micro tunneling, horizontal directional drilling and project risk control. All these enterprises did a lot of promotion in combination with their on-site exhibition and delivered an overall demonstration to our guests.
There were 60 enterprises brought their new products and technologies to this year's exhibition, 12 (about 20% of all) of which were the first time here, and 80% enterprises brought dozens of real products to the exhibition. We did special decoration for all the raw spaces. We witness a further improvement in the performance, quality and appearance of the domestic equipment on this year's exhibition. Many foreign equipment purchasers from Russia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, India, Singapore, Korea and Canada came to the exhibition.
2015 is the 19th birthday for ITTC. This year. We held a gala dinner party and granted the CSTT annual award, which were co-sponsored by Qingdao Shitong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shangdong Nuotai Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd.；we presented "2014 Person of the Year of China Trenchless Industry" award to Mr. Xu Xiaohua, Chairman of Henan ZhongTuo Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd., we also presented the "2014 Best Product of China Trenchless Industry" to DW/TXS Construction Equipment(Beijing) Co., Ltd., the "2014 Best Project of China Trenchless Industry" to Beijing Lokng Ke Xing Trenchless Engineering Co., Ltd., Qingdao Shitong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., and, Xi'an Rongsheng Pipeline Technical Engineering Co., Ltd. and the "2014 Best Technology of China Trenchless Industry" to China University of Geosciences, Beijing.
Before the conference officially started, we held the CSTT standing council meeting in the conference room of Qingdao Ocean Hotel, on which our secretary general Mr. Zhu Wenjian gave us the annual financial report and work summaryof 2014, and the working plan for 2015. Council members did a comprehensive discussion after over the report, and carried out the secret ballot of the 2014 Person of the Year of China Trenchless Industry. In the meantime, we also discussed about the preparation of ISTT No-Dig Beijing 2016 and its primary budget and fund raising, after which the managing method and basic principles for the work of the council are determined. In addition, we held an expert committee meeting in the conference room of Qingdao Ocean Hotel and talked about the industrial standards of horizontal directional drilling, pipe jacking and pipeline rehabilitation respectively.
